Jordan's Anti-Narcotics Department successfully thwarted four separate drug smuggling attempts, resulting in the arrest of six suspects and the seizure of over 420,000 narcotic pills.

Additionally, intense security operations targeting drug dealers and traffickers in southern Amman led to the apprehension of 10 individuals.

The first case involved two suspects planning to smuggle narcotics hidden in a shipment of construction stones, resulting in the seizure of 147,000 pills. Other cases included a truck carrying 200,000 pills and drugs hidden in food products.

These operations are part of a broader crackdown across various regions in Jordan, including the southern and northern Badia and Ramtha. Arrests and drug seizures were made in several raids, leading to the capture of dealers and promoters, some of whom resisted arrest. All cases have been referred to the State Security Court.
